In this role you will support our Design and Engineering department located in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada. This full time position will involve working with in-house engineers, designers and GIS Analysts on transmission and distribution engineering projects. The successful candidate will be expected to: • Supervise the work of designers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project. • Prepare and review technical specifications. • Prepare and review plans, contract documents, and estimates. • Serve as liaison between clients, subcontractors and design teams. • Resolve complex problems, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. • Exercise judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. • Assist in the process of planning, scheduling and coordinating transmission and distribution projects.
